Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment homes and property facilities in top condition. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, electrical fixtures, plumbing and carpentry tasks while adhering to preventative maintenance schedules.

The role requires 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance experience, HVAC skills, and EPA Type II or Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire). A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartment homes and property facilities in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures; plumbing and carpentry; locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.
