Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to cope with difficult people and maintain confidentiality.
• Must maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform policy.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Complete and pass Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds.
• Carry out carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertops, cabinets, and window/door repair.
• Execute preventive maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety, cleanliness and identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, weather, fires, floods).
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Participate in emergency on-call after-hours maintenance with proper response times.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through cleanliness and curb appeal and professional interactions.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties and agencies.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance; support company risk management program.
