Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician for multifamily properties in Overland Park, KS. You will support make-ready apartments, address resident service requests, and perform preventive maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and grounds care.

On-call may be required, and you will uphold safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve problems involving several variables in routine situations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare make ready apartments (painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, basic repairs).
• Respond to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform maintenance tasks in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal as needed.
• Maintain grounds, pools, and common areas to be clean and safe.
• On-call may be required for after-hours emergencies.
• Report maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform duties as assigned and represent the company professionally.
