Job summary

Ginkgo Residential LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support the Service Manager in preserving community quality and safety. You will perform preventive, corrective, emergency, and cosmetic repairs across apartment homes and common spaces, ensuring standards and resident expectations are met.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests promptly, preparing vacants, diagnosing systems, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining a safe shop.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or residential property management.
• HVAC certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• CPO certification or ability to obtain.
• General maintenance knowledge: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances.
• Excellent customer service and 'people first' mindset.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency (work orders, property management systems).
• Valid driver's license.
• Rotating weekends and on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance following policies and standards.
• Complete service requests promptly, delivering an exceptional resident experience.
• Prepare vacant apartments with make-ready repairs in a timely manner.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and systems.
• Coordinate and monitor third-party vendors to ensure safety and quality.
• Keep a clean, organized maintenance shop and promote sustainable practices.
• Inspect community buildings, grounds, and systems for needs and safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with team to foster a positive work environment and growth.
• Pursue learning and professional development opportunities.
