Job summary

Ginkgo Residential LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Service Manager in maintaining the community's physical integrity. The role covers preventative, corrective, emergency, and cosmetic repairs to meet company standards and resident expectations.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a service-oriented mindset, safety awareness, and a commitment to quality as part of Ginkgo’s values, while collaborating with team members and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or residential property management.
• HVAC certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication with a 'people first' mindset.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency and use of work orders.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for rotating weekends and on-call maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance following policies and industry standards.
• Complete service requests promptly, delivering an exceptional resident experience.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents with inspections and make-ready repairs.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general systems.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain a safe, organized maintenance shop and promote sustainable practices.
• Conduct regular inspections for safety and compliance.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule.
• Collaborate with team members to cultivate a positive work environment and elevate team performance.
