Job summary

Fairway Management is seeking a Maintenance Tech II in Kirksville, MO to support property upkeep and resident comfort. This full‑time role performs unit turns, plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance with a focus on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in multifamily or related settings, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to work overtime and respond to after-hours calls. Training and HUD/LIHTC standards are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (eg. door entry systems, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal and complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours as needed.
• Assist with unit make readies, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning.
• Complete quarterly preventative maintenance checks and train on HUD/LIHTC standards.
