Job summary

JES Holdings, through its Fairway Management division, seeks a Maintenance Technician II for Halls of Brookfield & Weatherby in Macon, MO. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, renovations, and routine repairs to keep apartment homes in top condition and residents satisfied.

The role requires hands-on skills (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting), punctuality, and a proactive attitude. On-site, full-time, with some after-hours on-call expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (e.g., door entry systems, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for after hours on call.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Coordinate unit make readies including painting, carpet cleaning, and cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Will ing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors with a legally insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Make the manager aware of health and safety concerns on site.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards.
