Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and safety equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently and timely.
• Initiative and motivation to pursue training and certifications when possible.
• Good organizational and time management skills; may require CFC Type 2 certification.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are highly preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (40+ lbs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional, service-oriented attitude with residents and handle service orders.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and service calls.
• Communicate hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Inform supervisor of damages caused by residents or guests.
• Promote fair housing standards and equal housing opportunity.
• Complete service orders accurately and timely.
• Monitor maintenance supply inventory and inform supervisor when items are needed.
• Service and maintain community equipment for uninterrupted use.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Be available for 24-hour emergency maintenance and weather-related calls.
