Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair apartment homes and property facilities at MAA Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include HVAC diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair, plus electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks. EPA Type II/Universal certification is required or obtained within 90 days.

A valid Florida driver’s license is also required. One to three years in multifamily or facility maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.
