Job summary

MAA is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs across our multifamily properties. You will diagnose and fix HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues to keep apartment homes in excellent condition.

The role requires 1–3 years in multifamily maintenance, HVAC experience, and EPA Type II or Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). A valid Texas driver’s license is required, and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units and related systems.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances, outlets, and light fixtures as needed.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and communicate with residents after repairs are complete.
