Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years in property maintenance; 1-2 years in leadership.
• Experience in multifamily housing or property management.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical knowledge across maintenance disciplines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in property management software and office apps.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor maintenance team, including scheduling and performance evaluation.
• Ensure staff follow procedures and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular property inspections.
• Oversee routine and emergency maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Ensure timely completion of tasks to high standards.
• Address tenant service requests and complaints promptly.
• Communicate with tenants about schedules and disruptions.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inventory, and contracts.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes.
• Conduct safety audits and training.
• Stay updated on local codes and regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance after hours as needed.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
