Job summary

Greystar seeks a Property Maintenance Technician to uphold the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the community. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with vendors to maintain high standards across units and grounds.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, HVAC knowledge with EPA Type I/II or Universal, and a valid driver’s license. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendors as needed.
• Maintains grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar standards.
• Inspects work by others and contractors to ensure quality and scope.
• Manages inventory of parts and materials and assists with budgets.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in policies.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Keeps safety training current and conducts safety meetings.
