Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and make-ready tasks across our apartment communities. You will diagnose resident-requested issues, manage vendor coordination, and uphold Greystar quality standards for cleanliness and safety.

You will ensure proper inventory management, assist in budgeting, and demonstrate strong customer service while working on-site in a multi-family property environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related training.
• Experience in property maintenance or building maintenance.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• EPA HVAC Type I/II or Universal certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Handle work orders from residents; diagnose and repair issues.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units; coordinate vendors.
• Set cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds and common areas.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools; order supplies as needed.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance; assist budget planning.
• Support safety trainings; ensure OSHA/MSDS compliance.
• Provide good resident service and respond to inquiries promptly.
