Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a multifamily property in Colton, CA. You will perform make-ready tasks, respond to resident service requests, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks to ensure safe, clean, and well-functioning living spaces.

The role emphasizes timely, professional communication with residents, on-site presence, and adherence to safety policies. Training, uniforms, and a strong service mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
• Ability to read/ understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
• Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Responds to resident requests promptly with a professional attitude.
• Maintains facilities and ensures high-quality move-in experience for residents.
• Knowledge of maintenance tasks: plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, snow removal when applicable.
• On-call scheduling may be required for after-hours emergencies.
• Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor and performs scheduled duties.
• Upholds state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
