Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for Multifamily properties in Houston. You will support move-ins, respond to resident service requests, and perform general maintenance tasks to keep units and common areas well-maintained.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. You will regularly coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read policy manuals, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
• EPA 608 Type II, or CPO, or local city required certificate may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare market-ready apartments with painting, cleaning, and repairs to ensure a quality move-in experience.
• Respond to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain grounds, pools, common areas, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Perform maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Adhere to state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
