Job summary

Kairoi Residential is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair our multifamily community. You will handle resident service requests, prep vacant apartments, and perform a range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in apartment maintenance, OSHA and EPA/HVAC credentials, and a customer-service oriented mindset. This on-site role requires flexibility and a valid driver’s license for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of apartment/home repair experience including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and basic HVAC work.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• EPA and HVAC certifications, or willingness to obtain them, required.
• OSHA safety rules knowledge required.
• Excellent customer service with a resident-focused mindset.
• Able to work flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina for bending, lifting, and standing.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
• Perform repairs and replacements to resolve issues efficiently.
• Communicate progress and estimated completion times to residents.
• Assist in make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Inspect property for maintenance or safety concerns.
• Report issues to Service Manager for prompt resolution.
• Organize and inventory maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Keep shop and storage areas clean and organized.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hour emergencies.
