Job summary

Kairoi is seeking a Service Technician to maintain multifamily homes, respond to resident requests, prep vacants for new residents, and support maintenance across the property.

The role covers diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with a focus on customer satisfaction and a proactive problem-solving approach. A valid driver’s license and bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in apartment home repair, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plus general mechanical repairs.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• EPA and HVAC certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and resident-focused attitude.
• Willingness to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform repairs and replacements as needed to resolve issues efficiently.
• Communicate with residents throughout the service process, updating on progress and timelines.
• Assist in the make-ready process for vacant apartments to be ready for new residents.
• Clean appliances, fixtures, and surfaces and perform minor repairs and touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities in good condition.
• Perform routine property inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Report issues to the Service Manager for prompt resolution.
• Organize and inventory maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Keep the maintenance shop and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies.
