MPI is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee field execution on large-scale ground-up residential developments in the Columbus market. You will own on-site operations, mentor teams, and drive projects to successful turnover.

The role requires senior-level construction leadership with a track record delivering multifamily and mixed-use projects, strong safety leadership, and the ability to manage complex schedules and budgets across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience with several years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role.
• Proven experience leading ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or large residential projects.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and field management.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing large project teams.
• OSHA certification and demonstrated safety leadership.

• Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to turnover.
• Manage Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop and drive project schedules to meet deadlines.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project turnover.
• Manage Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate all trades to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget expectations.
• Conduct regular jobsite meetings and communicate progress with project stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce quality control standards throughout construction.
• Oversee site logistics, sequencing plans, manpower scheduling, and material procurement.
• Identify and proactively resolve project challenges before they impact schedule or budget.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, Owners, Consultants, and Design Teams.
• Manage inspections, punch lists, certificates of occupancy, and project closeout activities.
• Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and safety.
  

Profile

The Successful Candidate:

• 7+ years of construction experience with at least several years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent capacity.
• Proven experience leading ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, or large residential projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field management.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing large project teams.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of successfully delivering projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures, quality standards, and construction best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced construction environments.
• Ground-up multifamily construction experience.
• Experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
• OSHA certification and strong commitment to safety leadership.
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related educational background.
