Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX. You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs to maintain safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

You will perform preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and support emergencies while upholding safety policies and professional standards. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment (phone, copier, etc.).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds as directed.
• Carry out carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertops, finish carpentry, window/door work, tile repair.
• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance (siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pool, elevator, etc.).
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards.
• Inspect grounds and buildings for safety, cleanliness and hazards.
• Assist with emergency property incidents (snow, storms, fires, floods).
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Participate in after-hours/emergency on-call assignments.
• Foster positive relations with residents and other properties.
