Job summary

Irvine Company Apartment Communities is hiring a Manager, Construction to oversee capital repair projects from execution to delivery in California. You will manage field operations, budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, while maintaining relationships with team members at all levels.

The role requires 3+ years in multifamily construction and 2+ years in construction management or engineering, with occasional travel and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required or preferred.
• 3+ years in multifamily construction (PM or equivalent).
• 2+ years in construction management or engineering.
• Occasional travel and valid CA driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites regularly to monitor construction progress.
• Review schedules, subcontracts, and city requirements with PMs and supers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage RFI and submittals processes.
• Review and initial Change Orders and draw requests with stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets and provide weekly updates to senior management.
• Oversee closeout, warranties, and turnover with operations.
