Job summary

Emerge Living is seeking an Experienced Assistant Community Manager in Austin, TX. You will support the Community Manager by handling rent collection, delinquencies, resident relations, and community communications weekly through annual cycles.

Responsibilities include showing apartments, processing applications, renewals, and move-ins/out, while maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction and property performance through proactive management and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in multifamily operations and leadership.
• Training to comply with new or existing laws.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and take action.
• Clear communication with diverse personalities.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and property software.
• Background in property mgmt, sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Strong in-person and phone presence and etiquette.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time well.
• Capable of handling difficult customer situations and feedback.
• Uphold integrity and Emerge Living values.
• Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects using guest cards in Lead Management Software.
• Assist with applications and deposits following procedures and Fair Housing.
• Manage rental collections, enforce leases, track fees, and assist evictions when needed.
• Keep availability reports and process applications for Community Manager approval.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare move-ins, and obtain signatures.
• Manage lease renewals, notices, and move-outs; update management software.
• Promote resident satisfaction by promptly addressing complaints and requests.
• Follow eviction procedures and assist in court proceedings as needed.
• Complete lease, move-in, move-out paperwork during peak periods.
• Cover Community Manager duties when they're unavailable.
