The Franklin Group, a leader in multifamily housing in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks a Transition/Audit Coordinator to support property operations and accounting by reviewing auditor requests and ensuring timely audit completion.

Based in Virginia Beach, the role involves preparing audit schedules, communicating with managers and regional staff, and maintaining organized files. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 per year; background check and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience with resident ledgers in Real Page and/or Yardi (Yardi).
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• Affordable housing experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, transaction processing, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with midyear and annual property audits.
• Communicate with property managers, regional accounting staff, and other departments to resolve audit requests.
• Prepare audit schedules, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized audit files and documentation.
• Perform data entry and administrative tasks related to property accounting, transitions, and auditing.
• Prepare reports and summaries for management and auditors.
• Prepare and review financial reports for transitions.
