Job summary

H-E-B in Austin, TX, is seeking a Cross-Functional Representative to deliver frontline customer service and support multiple departments across packaging, stocking, rotation, production and sanitation.

You will assist customers, answer questions, upsell products using suggestive selling, maintain displays and inventory accuracy, and help with safety and sanitation duties in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Age 18+; 6+ months of store operations experience at H-E-B.
• Knowledge of store computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Verbal and written communication and reading skills.
• Ability to adapt to duties across multiple departments.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service and assist with product selection.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and increase department sales.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation by following SOPs and maintaining cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain equipment; clean and sanitize sales floor and prep areas.
• Assist with stocking, rotation, inventory accuracy, and displays across multiple departments.
