GAF in Newton, Kansas, is seeking a Multicraft Technician II to perform advanced maintenance in a high-volume plant. You will assist with mechanical, electrical, HVAC and facility tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs to ensure uptime and quality.

Responsibilities include PMs, reading blueprints, welding and milling, and supporting 5S and safety initiatives. Willingness to travel to other locations during startup and commissioning is expected.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Associate’s Degree Preferred.
• 3+ years Industrial maintenance in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with 480V systems and reading multimeters.
• Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix / RSLogix 5000 is a plus.
• Ability to operate a manual mill and lathe; welding experience.
• NFPA 70e Certificate preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced maintenance support and PMs for plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot drives, conveyors, and mechanical systems on a high-rate line.
• Complete work orders, document activity in Maximo, and close orders.
• Perform welding, fabricating, machining, and pipe work as needed.
• Read blueprints, install and align equipment, and troubleshoot VFDs.
• Support safety, 5S initiatives, and continuous improvement.
