Job summary

The IFF Family of Companies in New Century, Kansas, seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform multi-craft repairs including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and welding. You will lead troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain equipment history records to support efficient plant operations.

Candidate should have at least two years in plant maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum maintenance experience in plant equipment, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, good verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and spare parts systems would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follow all site safety and environmental policies, complete safe work permits, and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Ensure operation of plant and facility equipment by performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs, rebuilds, inspections, and routines with proper record-keeping.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to support production operations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to plant and facility equipment for cost-effective operations.
• Keep equipment history files and update drawings and spare parts logs as changes occur.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas; regular attendance is required.
