Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in the United States is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while meeting financial targets.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in multi-unit settings, strong cost control, and customer satisfaction focus, with flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Ability to work a flexible on-site schedule approximately 50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Certification Preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve or exceed targeted objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety standards.
• Monitor and analyze progress towards targeted financial and performance objectives then implement strategic changes to sustainably maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure that each food and beverage concept within the plaza adheres to required brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture of continuous learning, information/skill sharing and professional development, including modeling behavior and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams to maintain appropriate staffing levels across the plaza.
• Hire, coach, train, promote, discipline, or transfer plaza leadership; supervise and manage their teams.
