Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain kitchen equipment, HVAC, and refrigeration across multiple sites. You will manage work orders, parts, and safety compliance while traveling regionally and supporting after-hours needs.

You must have a high school diploma or GED and EPA/CFC certification, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally and long distances. This role offers strong benefits and on-site responsibilities.

• Strong carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repair skills.
• EPA or CFC certification is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen equipment, HVAC, and refrigeration.
• Respond to service calls and restore equipment functionality.
• Document repairs according to SLAs.
• Coordinate with restaurant leadership and vendors.
• Manage work orders and parts inventory using company systems.
• Travel to multiple restaurants and support after-hours needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and tools.
• Ensure safety policies and regulatory standards are followed.
• Support field operations with timely communication.
• Supervise third-party vendors when required.
