Job summary

The Community Builders is seeking a Service Technician II in Mashpee, MA. You will respond to service requests, perform repairs across appliances, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and prepare vacant units for move-ins.

Role requires five days in office, strong attention to safety, and ability to work with a team. REAC/HQS familiarity is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and relevant trade experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on repair in two or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry certifications (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and complete vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment.
• Repair vacant apartments to be ready for move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Prepare repairs for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with a safety mindset and PPE.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency calls.
• Provide technical guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
