Job summary

The Community Builders (TCB) is seeking a Service Technician II in Worcester, MA. You will respond to service requests, perform repairs across multiple trades, maintain grounds, and prepare vacant units for move-ins.

Role requires five days in office, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently with PPE and safety practices in mind. Prior REAC/HQS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade school or 3 years of progressive responsibility in property management or hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in two or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing/HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Complete or monitor preventive maintenance on building systems and components.
• Prepare repairs to vacant apartments for new residents.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces including cleaning, trash, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Prepare repairs for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with safety mindset and PPE.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation and emergencies.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with technical guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
