Job summary

Naval Air Station Pensacola is seeking a Facilities Maintenance worker to assist with the operation and maintenance of physical plant facilities across multiple trades. You will work independently or with a quick response maintenance team, performing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks.

Responsibilities include reviewing service requests in the eMH system, scheduling work, and documenting task status.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with demonstrated skill in at least two areas (e.g., Plumbing, Washer/Dryer repair, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, or Painting).
• Knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment, commonly used chemicals and basic safe work practices is required.
• Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; interact with residents; provide information about UH facilities; aid in handling resident complaints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security and privacy of all residents.
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks across building maintenance trades.
• Review service requests in the eMH system and schedule work.
• Document service task status and report to residents and supervisor.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs in plumbing, laundry equipment, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
