Job summary

Holmes Murphy, via its Creative Risk Solutions unit, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to support multi‑jurisdiction claim handling in ME, CT, and NJ. You will collaborate with insureds and internal teams to process lost‑time claims and ensure timely, accurate data entry.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in workers’ compensation, a strong grasp of claims procedures, and a willingness to pursue licensure in required jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Experience handling claims in multiple jurisdictions (ME, CT, NJ).
• Willing to obtain licenses where needed.
• Able to use claims processing software.

Responsibilities

• Receives, gathers and transmits workers’ compensation information to the company from insureds, claimants and internal staff.
• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves lost time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated claims.
• Mediates situations between insured and insurer to resolve coverage issues.
• Enters and maintains accurate information on a computer system during the claim process, including final settlement information.
• Generates checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.
• Develops and monitors consistency in procedural matters of claims handling process within CRS.
• Willingness to become licensed if required in jurisdiction where claims are handled.
