Job summary

Johnson Brothers is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Minnesota to support accurate, timely payroll for a multi-state workforce. You will audit timekeeping, reconcile data, administer garnishments, and assist with year-end tasks while partnering with HR, Finance, and managers to ensure compliance and excellent service.

Ideal candidates bring an Associate degree in accounting/finance/HR and at least 3 years of payroll experience, with Workday and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, HR, or business.
• Minimum of 3 years payroll processing experience across multiple states.
• Experience with Workday payroll system and reporting tools preferred.
• Knowledge of garnishments, tax filings, and payroll audits.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions timely for all employees.
• Review time sheets and audit timekeeping records for accuracy.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports in Workday.
• Audit payroll processes to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support weekly/bi-weekly payroll cycles and year-end activities.
• Handle garnishments, wage attachments, and regulatory notices.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and managers to ensure compliance.
• Assist with W-2 preparation and payroll tax filings.
