Qualifications

• 3+ years payroll experience in a large corporation
• Experience with multi-state payroll
• Proficiency in ADP or similar payroll software
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Knowledge of federal/state/local tax laws and wage-hour regulations
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll accounting
• Ability to support audits and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Review time data in IFS for accuracy and communicate corrections to supervisors
• Transfer time data from IFS to ADP for payroll processing
• Process payroll accurately for a large, multi-state workforce
• Maintain payroll tax filings and reports for audits
• Reconcile payroll with ADP Tax Services reports
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Maintain weekly payroll data spreadsheets for accuracy
• Process manual checks for discrepancies and bonuses
• Calculate and apply new hire, termination, and other pay adjustments
• Reconcile payroll to 941 and W-2 filings
• Post adjusting journal entries and general ledger entries
• Submit annual workers’ compensation reports
• Support accounting and finance with journal entries
• Process stop payments and payroll adjustments with proper authorization
• Deduct withholdings, garnishments, and other deductions accurately
• Verify overtime hours with management before payroll issuance
• Support audits with required documentation
