Qualifications

• 2–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, garnishments, and compliance.
• Ability to handle high-volume payroll with accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly multi-state payroll accurately and timely.
• Import payroll data, verify pay information, resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain employee payroll records (hiring, termination, changes).
• Ensure compliance with wage garnishments and tax requirements.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist reconciliations.
• Process weekly disbursements for benefits (401(k), HSA, etc.).
• Assist with year-end payroll activities and audit support.
• Support COBRA administration.
• Collaborate with Accounting and HR to resolve payroll questions.
• Provide administrative support during non-peak payroll periods.
