Qualifications

• Extensive working knowledge of Paylocity payroll and HRIS software; system administration experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, wage and hour laws, and federal/state tax withholding requirements.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and compensation data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll and tax concepts to non-technical staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications; experience integrating payroll with ERP or accounting systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for all employees using Paylocity.
• Review timekeeping data, new hires, terminations, status changes, garnishments, and inputs prior to payroll runs.
• Calculate and process off-cycle payments, retroactive pay, bonuses, commissions, and final paychecks.
• Reconcile payroll registers, general ledger postings, and payroll-related accounts.
• Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain Paylocity HRIS records, pay codes, tax profiles, and deductions.
• Configure and test HRIS updates, modules, and automation opportunities.
• Ensure data integrity between Paylocity and other systems through audits.
• Prepare payroll tax filings and assist with audits as needed.
• Assist with year-end processes, benefits deductions, and benefits administration related to payroll.
