Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with an established organization to hire a Payroll Accountant to own payroll processing, reconciliations, and cash accounting for multiple entities.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years of payroll experience, multi-state payroll knowledge, and familiarity with ADP Vantage or NetSuite. A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is preferred but not required. This role offers growth and a stable, long-term career path.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple entities preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll maintenance, reconciliations, and tax processes.
• Knowledge of garnishments and multi-state payroll requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities and meet deadlines.
• Manage payroll maintenance: new hires, terminations, merit increases, retroactive adjustments, bonuses, benefits changes, and W-4s.
• Complete bi-weekly payroll reconciliations and prepare related journal entries.
• Review and process employee reimbursements and expense reports.
• Reconcile tax payments and support quarterly/annual filings.
• Prepare standard and ad hoc payroll reports and audit support.
