Job summary

Midwest Recreational Clearinghouse is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support multi-state HR operations from Hastings, MN. The role focuses on compliance, employee relations, payroll and benefits, and onboarding for a distributed workforce.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA and multi-state leave laws, with 2–5+ years in HR generalist roles. Pay and benefits administration, HRIS experience (Paycor preferred), and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 2–5+ years of HR Generalist experience with multi-state responsibilities.
• Knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA and state leave laws.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees across all locations.
• Address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and promote inclusivity and collaboration.
• Investigate and resolve workplace issues in compliance with state laws and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain records.
• Collaborate with payroll and benefits vendors for multi-state processing and taxation.
• Coordinate onboarding programs for regional and remote employees.
• Develop and deliver HR training and policy updates across locations.
• Generate HR metrics to support decision-making and location-based insights.
