Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to assist with basic patient care under RN supervision. The role includes taking glucose, ADL support, and EKG/phlebotomy tasks, contributing to safe, compassionate care aligned with our mission.

Required education is a high school diploma with on-hire EKG/Phlebotomy training and CPR within 60 days. Ongoing training and participation in quality initiatives are expected.

Qualifications

• High school level education or equivalent. Reading/writing basic English and arithmetic.
• Successful completion of EKG and Phlebotomy training/courses on hire or transfer.
• CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Take blood glucose measurements and record intake and output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing and grooming.
• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy as trained.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and clean.
• Attend required in-services and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as directed.
