Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to assist under an RN, performing basic patient care activities and essential duties to support patient safety and comfort. The role emphasizes adherence to mission values, regulatory compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires basic clinical skills, EKG and phlebotomy training, and CPR within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• The level of knowledge ordinarily required is a high school diploma with ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• CPR certification required on hire or within 60 days.
• Prior patient care experience or health-related training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take blood glucose measurements and record intake and output.
• Perform EKGs according to policy and training.
• Perform Phlebotomy duties per policy and competency assessment.
• Assist with daily living activities and keep patient rooms stocked and orderly.
• Attend required trainings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
