Job summary

EHSCareers seeks a Safety & Health Coordinator to oversee safety programs across terminal facilities in Nebraska and Colorado. You will lead improvements, coach teams, manage investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in safety roles within industrial settings, OSHA knowledge, and travel up to 50%. This role offers growth in a multi-site operation and exposure to safety leadership across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Approximately 2-3 years of safety and health experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, warehousing, or similar industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, investigations, or root cause analyses.
• Familiarity with LOTO, HAZCOM, confined-space, and forklift safety training.
• Ability to collect, analyze and communicate safety metrics.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety and health programs across terminal facilities in Nebraska and Colorado.
• Assess current safety systems and lead practical improvements with measurable results.
• Coach to strengthen safety culture through communication and accountability.
• Lead human-performance and behavior-based safety initiatives.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses to eliminate risks.
• Maintain regulatory records and support OSHA, EPA, state and local compliance.
• Support PSM and chemical-handling compliance where applicable.
• Develop and deliver training on HAZCOM, LOTO, confined-space, forklift safety, and site procedures.
• Coordinate injury and incident reporting to management and regulators.
• Partner with HR on workers' compensation and return-to-work cases.
• Maintain emergency-response plans and coordinate drills.
• Track leading/lagging safety metrics (TRIR, DART).
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and facility monitoring.
• Facilitate terminal Safety Committees and annual Safety/Health Action Plans.
• Provide safety input for capital projects and process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations leadership and regulatory agencies; travel up to 50%.
