Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will supervise onsite staff, manage leasing, maintenance, and risk compliance, and optimize cash flow under the Community Manager's supervision.

The role emphasizes delinquency control, resident relations, and budget adherence, with responsibilities across personnel, operations, and administration in a fast-growing property management firm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants and residents accurately, timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt: send late notices, contact residents, file evictions.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records; audit resident files.
• Walk units; post move-in/out charges and security deposits.
