Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to float between Hugo, Chisago, North Branch, and Lakes Medical Center locations. This 0.7 FTE role supports providers and patient care staff, ensuring records and reports are accessible, and facilitating messages between physicians, nurses, MAs, and related resources.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to adapt care approaches to diverse populations served.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Excellent public relations and communication skills.
• Good telephone and computer skills.
• Must be flexible.
• Must be efficient.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate’s activities of care team to support provider and patient care staff.
• Performs telephone message taking and directs communication in a timely fashion.
• Requests/obtains patient reports as necessary.
• Effectively uses communication systems for both routine and emergency transactions.
• Coordinates communication between care team and outside resources.
• Enters refills.
• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
