Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to support up to 25 outpatient rehab clinics across the Twin Cities metro area. You will manage scheduling, registration, check-in/out, and serve as the frontline liaison with patients and staff.

The role requires exceptional organization, clear communication, and compassionate service. Travel to multiple sites is required; a reliable transportation is necessary to cover the metro area and ensure an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Clerical or scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduling and registration functions
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
• Produces efficient and accurate schedules and associated reports
• Records and updates schedule changes accurately, communicating changes to staff
• Seeks solutions to time conflicts with involved parties
• Adds pertinent information and documents into the patient record
• Arranges interpreter services when appropriate
• Performs clerical and reception duties
• Answers and screens telephone calls
• Reviews and routes mail and faxes
• Takes concise messages and responds as requested
• Creates new patient packets
• Compiles data and generates reports
• Develops and implements office procedures to maintain systems
• Orders supplies and monitors department par levels
• Coordinates repairs and service requests
• Maintains databases and records per procedures
• Completes Medicare/Medicaid certification where applicable
• Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel to multiple sites and provide care as assigned
• Manages changes and ensures continuity of care
