Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated seeks an IT Support Technician to provide frontline IT service desk assistance, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across offices, plants, and job sites. You will support local Active Directory, servers, and applications, and help maintain secure, standardized IT operations.

The role requires 3+ years in IT support, CompTIA A+/Network+ and Microsoft certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience and/or certifications.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent demonstrated training/experience.
• Microsoft Role-Based Certification (Single-Exam) preferred.
• CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to IT Service Desk requests to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve local network and communication issues.
• Support management of Active Directory OU, network apps, servers, shares, and services.
• Maintain IT documentation for consistent standards across locations.
• Coordinate acquisition, installation, configuration of devices and networking gear.
• Track hardware inventory and software licenses for compliance.
• Document lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal.
• Assist design and maintenance of IT resources for large projects and new ventures.
• Travel to job sites to assist configuration and problem resolution.
• Virtual assistance to users for issue resolution.
• Support business applications and systems per corporate standards.
• Troubleshoot PC hardware and software to minimize downtime and meet SLAs.
• Assist management with budgets, licensing, and asset strategies.
