Job summary

Granite Construction, based in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking an experienced IT Support specialist to provide frontline service desk assistance across offices, plants, and job sites. You will diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, manage local AD, and assist with asset inventories and documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in multi-site IT support, familiarity with Windows Server, AD, Cisco/Fortinet networks, and strong customer service. Travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT support experience in a multi-site environment
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent training/experience
• Microsoft Role-Based Certification (Single-Exam) preferred
• CompTIA Network+ certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve incoming IT Service Desk requests to ensure employee technology issues are addressed promptly
• Diagnose and resolve local network and communication issues to maintain reliable operations
• Maintain local Active Directory OU, network applications, servers, file shares, and network services
• Assist developing and maintaining IT documentation across locations
• Coordinate acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of devices and networking equipment
• Travel to job sites to assist site configuration, setup and problem resolution
• Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware and software issues to minimize downtime
• Support business applications and systems to align with IT standards
