Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems across Conway, SC facilities. Under supervision, you will diagnose issues, perform routine tasks, and assist with energy-management updates.

You will need EPA 608 certification, a valid driver's license, and relevant plumbing/electrical exposure. The role includes travel to multiple sites and adherence to safety and EPA regulations. Walmart offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment.
• Maintains and inspects equipment; troubleshoots HVAC/R problems.
• Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Coordinates and transports vehicles for required maintenance.
• Submits maintenance invoices for payment.
