Walmart North Charleston is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to install, calibrate, and maintain refrigeration systems and building controls in multiple facilities. You will work under supervision of Managers and Training Technicians, performing routine checks to meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves leading field teams, mentoring apprentices, and coordinating service calls across the region. A valid HVAC/R certification and EPA 608 are required, plus a valid license and clean

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification (Type I/II or Universal) with 2 years of related field experience.
• Alternative: 4 years of mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• Commercial driving record with limited violations.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC/R systems including ductwork, controls, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Coordinate with customers and external service providers as needed.
• Maintain vehicle and report maintenance/invoices.
