Job summary

Shea Properties seeks a Floating Service Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance across multiple apartment communities. You will supervise a service team, perform preventive and corrective repairs, and ensure compliance with building codes and company standards.

The role requires coordinating with Community and Facilities Managers, handling budgets, and using Yardi for work orders. On-site work, occasional travel to properties, and after-hours availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years property management experience with supervisor duties.
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for residents and teams.
• Familiar with budgeting, scheduling and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train service staff; schedule maintenance and respond to work orders.
• Inspect properties, coordinate vendor work, and ensure code compliance.
• Use Yardi to track work orders and maintain documentation.
• Prepare budgets, monitor variances, and support community managers.
• Schedule on-call and after-hours maintenance as needed.
