Job summary

The Floating Service Manager leads on-site maintenance across Shea Properties’ apartment communities, ensuring repairs, safety, and compliance with building codes. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with HVAC/plumbing/electrical/carpentry training.
• Minimum 2 years of property maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership/management role.
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop maintenance staff and coordinate with property management.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in maintenance to support portfolio managers with complex issues and project work.
• Assist with punch lists and unit acceptance during turnovers.
• Train and supervise service staff and coordinate maintenance requests across properties.
• Prioritize and delegate maintenance tasks; document work orders and track status (Yardi).
• Inspect properties and report major issues to Community Manager and Operations Manager.
