Job summary

Mark-Taylor is seeking a General Manager of Facilities & Service to oversee maintenance operations across Chandler & Mesa properties. You’ll lead a service team, manage turns, and drive preventative maintenance to keep communities running smoothly.

The role emphasizes budget control, vendor management, and safety compliance, with opportunities for certification pay and growth within a top Arizona multifamily builder.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a maintenance manager in multifamily properties.
• EPA, CPO & OSHA 30 certifications preferred.
• Lead and develop a Service team with accountability and high performance.
• Oversee daily POD Service operations including turns and work prioritization.
• Manage capital projects from planning through completion within budgets.
• Demonstrate strong financial acumen with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain organization and service standards across multiple communities.
• Extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, landscape, appliances and OSHA standards.
• Record of promoting and training team members.
• Basic reporting and computer skills.
• High School or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple multifamily communities.
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and grounds staff with coaching and feedback.
• Ensure preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, appliances and building systems.
• Conduct routine property inspections for maintenance, safety, or curb appeal issues.
• Coordinate and manage apartment turns to market-ready readiness.
• Prioritize service requests and work orders for timely completion.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships and project oversight.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
• Support maintenance budgets, forecasts and capex projects.
